How to play
Every day there is one mystery: Today’s Twiggit.
A Twiggit could be a person, place, object, animal, food or drink, fictional character, organisation, event, or well-known concept.
Everyone gets the same Twiggit for that calendar date. A new one unlocks at midnight in your local time.
Ask up to 20 questions
Ask questions that help narrow down the answer and can be answered with a short yes/no-style response.
For example:
- Is it alive?
- Is it man-made?
- Is it bigger than a car?
- Would you normally find it indoors?
- Is it associated with Europe?
- Does it still exist today?
Each valid question gets one short answer:
- YES / NO — clear cut.
- GENERALLY — usually true, but not always.
- SOMETIMES — it depends on the situation.
- IRRELEVANT — it doesn’t meaningfully narrow things down.
- TOO SPECIFIC — answering would effectively give it away.
Open-ended questions such as:
- How many are there?
- Where is it?
- What colour is it?
- When was it invented?
…can’t be answered directly in Twiggit.
If you ask one, the game may ask you to rephrase it as a yes/no-style question instead — for example:
“Where is it?” → “Is it in Europe?”
A question that needs rephrasing should not use up one of your 20 questions.
Need a nudge?
Up to 3 hints are available each day. They unlock after you’ve used 5, 10, and 15 questions.
Hints are completely optional. Using one won’t cost a question, and a revealed hint stays visible for the rest of the day even if you refresh or close the page.
They’re designed to gently narrow things down without directly revealing the answer.
Think you’ve twigged it?
Tap I think I know it and take a guess.
Guesses are free — they don’t use one of your 20 questions, and you can guess as many times as you like while questions remain.
Get it wrong and you simply carry on.
Use all 20 questions and you’ll get one final guess.
Miss that and Today’s Twiggit is revealed.
Streaks and progress
Solve it and your streak grows.
Miss it — or miss a day — and your streak ends.
Your progress and streak are saved automatically, so refreshing or closing the page won’t reset today’s game.
No player account is required.
So, how fast can you Twiggit?
